At the last CFIG general meeting Joe Markay from FarmSafe Australia Inc. came along to tell us a bit about the FarmSafe program. FarmSafe helps farmers through training to identify risks onfarm and help prevent onfarm accidents. They would like to run some training days in the Corrigin area, and are looking for farmers to host the days. The courses would only be half a day, consisting of a presentation at the start, followed by a walk around the host farm and discussion on hazards and prevention.

FarmSafe is NOT WorkSafe, they are two completely differnt bodies. FarmSafe has been started by the Agricultural Industry to help address the issue of Farm safety. Visit their website to find out more. If you would lie to participate in a trainig day, contact the CFIG.
