Optimising fertilizer rates according to production zone.

Rotation : Peas and lupins 01 / Wheat 02

2002 crop and Variety : Wyalkatchem 30kg seed rate

Paddock Standard fertilizer: 100kg Agstar + 0kg of Urea.

Treatments:

Nitrogen and Potassium
Treatments of N are to be applied post seeding.

The nitrogen rates have been determined assuming the following estimated yields in each zone.

Potassium
Potassium levels are adequate in this paddock and additional K is not required to maximise production.

Measurement of response.
The trial paddock will be flown over by Air Agronomics (2M resolution) to give indication of biomass response to nitrogen rates.

Plots will be harvested according to production zone with a weigh trailer at harvest and if possible yield mapped with header at harvest.
